Top Easter and Passover Foods: Surprising Favorites Revealed by Instacart

Easter and Passover are approaching, and opinions are strong about holiday treats and meals. Instacart’s annual survey, in collaboration with The Harris Poll, highlights which foods are delights or disappointments this season.

Chocolate reigns supreme with Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs as the favorite Easter candy, followed closely by their Peanut Butter Cups. Chocolates dominate the top picks, with Cadbury’s mini eggs and creme eggs, and Lindt’s chocolate bunny also featuring prominently. For non-chocolate lovers, Sour Patch Kids and jelly beans make the list, though Easter Peeps surprisingly missed the top 10, except in cities like Philly and Washington, D.C.

For Passover, traditional dishes like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup received less enthusiasm, with many preferring to skip them. Similarly, for Easter, leg of lamb, deviled eggs, and honey-baked ham with scalloped potatoes were less favored selections.

As for florals, tulips and lilies are the top choices for spring, with tulips far outpacing lilies during Easter weekend based on Instacart’s order data. This year’s trends suggest a shift in traditional preferences, offering new insights into holiday planning.
